Union Christian Church is an elder-led congregation. The elders of Union Christian Church provide for the real and spiritual governance, guidance, and oversight of the church.  For this function they are responsible to God (Hebrews 13:17).

Marty Guise, Staff Elder

Marty and Diana Guise moved to Honduras in September 2020 for Marty to assume the role of staff elder. Marty became a bi-vocational pastor in 2009 – serving a church in St Louis while also serving through Lay Renewal Ministries (where he had served since 1996).  Diana has over 20 years in education, teaching in high school, middle school, and all grade levels as a substitute teacher. Their two children, Drew and Katie, visit from the States as their university schedules permit.

The Deacons support the elders in the ministry to the body by addressing the physical needs of the congregation.
